Some of them can be changed in the Settings area. Go to Settings>Sounds. If there is no selection for the app you are looking for, then you have to see if there are settings within the app itself. If there are none, then there is no way for you to change the sounds. Not all apps provide for settings to change their sounds. You can also go to Settings>Notifications, then select the app in question. There should be a switch to turn sounds off/on, and if there is an ability to change the sound there, it can be done there, otherwise it would be within the app itself if allowed.

Thanks.
It would be nice if there was only one place on the iPhone to change alert sounds and if iPhone allowed any sound to be changed.
The thing is that many app developers code their apps for a single sound, and it is theirs. They don't want it changed. The two locations I gave, Sounds and Notifications actually can turn out to be the same, depending on how the app is coded. Apple apps are different, and they have the ability to change, but again, 3rd party apps are up to the developer, not Apple.
Chris is correct about not being able to change the notification sounds on iOS but as far as 3rd party developers coding their apps for a single sound & them not wanting it changed is 100% incorrect. Notification sounds are not “coded” lol. That’s ridiculous and doesn’t even make sense. The notification sounds have nothing to do with the “coding” of the app. iOS restricts notification sounds being changed not the app itself. For example, Samsung does not restrict notification sounds being changed. On a Samsung u may change the notification sound to whatever you wish. Developers could care less about which notification sound you choose and I really must reiterate that it has absolutely nothing to do with “coding an app”.
Thanks.
