When safari is going to support 360 degree video ?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12.5)
Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.
It's easier to switch to Chrome than worry about Apple feedback.
Works fine for me in safari 11.0.3 in MacOS High Sierra 10.13.2.
Incredible, Safari 11 still doesn't support 360 video on Youtube... Apple wake up!!!
How does one watch a 360° video anyway?
Safari, by default, and without additional plug-in, supports QuickTime VR for 360° stitched images. That can be seen at this site. Simply click, and hold that click in an image, while dragging left or right for 360° image rotation.
No it doesn't, safari doesn't support 360 degree vidoes.
browsers that support 360 degree vidoes are :
- Chrome
- Opera
- Firefox
- Internet Explorer
Even internet explorer support it lol, i am not sure why safari doesn't support it while explorer does, i am sure there is a reason.
Sorry, we don’t know. The best thing to do is to submit a feedback requesting the feature.
