How do I hide things on my iPhone home page?

Face it. People are nosy. I have no idea why iPhone isn't designed to take this into account. How do I hide things on my iPhone home page?

I found this article — http://www.cultofmac.com/391370/how — on how to make nested folders to make it look like you have an empty folder but I can't really make it work, and it isn't really hidden anyway.

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.3.2

You could use folders and then fill up the folder with many useless icons. Then keep creating pages and hide what you don't want people to see on the last page.

Not many people know this technique but you could then again use a pass code only you can remember and add your fingerprint. Then you can use your fingerprint all the time and no one can get into your phone.

Hope this helps!

Set a strong passcode, then enable fingerprint recognition to unlock. Set the display to lock immediately upon the display going to or being put to sleep. When not using your phone, press the power button to sleep the display and immediately lock the screen. Now nobody can ever snoop on your device unless you unlock it, give it to them, and let them poke around.
