Why does my icloud email say login failed, even though my password and email are typed in correctly?

Have been logged in to my icloud email on my phone for over a year and now it says server changed re-enter password. When I re-enter my password it says login failed. Can't figure out why. I even changed my password then tried the new one still nothing.
