Is there a way to disable Apple Pay from automatically starting any time I use a QR scanner? I got rid of Apple Pay when I could not scan my boarding pass at the airport, as it would automatically change to Apple Pay. I have set it back up again, but now my bus ticket is an app on my iPhone with a QR code, and is doing the same thing again, so frustrating!!

Apple Pay should only activate when near an NFC reader. I heard of a similar situation where someone was having Apple Pay activate every time they used the subway. Apparently the subway has a way to scan passes using NFC at the turn styles. I can't guarantee this but it sounds like the bus has an option to pay with NFC or way to scan a pass with NFC. If that's the case, the iPhone recognizes the NFC and activates Apple Pay. Try to scan a QR code in a different location like from a magazine or somewhere other than your bus ticket QR code and see what happens.
Yeah, that's the problem.... so any way of turning this function off?
