How can I adjust number of Rings before it goes to Voicemail-Iphone 7

My phone takes a LONG time before it goes into voicemail and callers complain about how many rings it takes. I've googled this and read about doing the *61 Settings Interrogation thing. But it says my "Settings Interrogation...." are disabled. How can I enable them so that I can shorten the length of time the phone takes before going into voicemail? Thank you.

Hi--it is T-Moblie --I tried that already and they said they have no control over that.

Whomever you spoke to is clueless. T-mobile owns and operates your voicemail service and equipment. They are the only ones who could have any control over how their services, running on their equipment, actually functions.

The time or number of rings to voicemail is not something Apple nor your device itself has any control over, at all. This is a cellular service provider issue. You need to get a hold of someone at T-Mobile who knows what they are talking about. They may not be willing to adjust the time for their customers, but that is different from saying they have no control over it.

Then they cannot do it. Only the carrier can adjust this, if it is possible. It actually doesn't have to do with the number of rings, it is a timing setting. It has to do with the amount of time from the actual call setup by the carrier after connection from the caller's carrier. You will just have to live with it, or change carriers. But understand that not all carriers can do it, and the amount of time adjustment is very minor.
