Problem Connecting to server 192.168.1.102

Following the most recent upgrade to MacOS Sierra (10.12.5), I'm plagued with the following warning box: "There was a problem connecting to the server "192.168.1.102"." What is this? I don't have server connections as far as I know. It's the first time I've ever seen this.

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.5)

Barney-15E,

Not only was your answer helpful, but it solved the problem. I started deleting login items and the second one I deleted was the offending app. It seems I was trying to use version 2.2 of the Screen Sharing Menulet. This was the last free version from years, and I mean many years ago. The current version is 2.8 and costs $1.99 on the App Store.

When I deleted this one and restarted the computer, problem box disappeared. Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

I think it's time to move in another direction with this. Everything associated with my home network has IP addresses in the 10.x.x.x range. I'm positive this 192.168.1.102 "SERVER" is a carryover from something years ago that has managed to surface all of a sudden. I don't have a clue where to look to see what I can delete or edit to get rid of this notice:

There was a problem connecting to the server "192.168.1.102".

The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.

Everything is working as it should, but I get this notice on my iMAC which is connected with a Cat 5 cable and on my MAC Book Air 2 which is WiFi, but not on my wife's Macbook Pro.

Thanks.
