How to show the full file names when searching on finder?

Hey guys, I work with a lot of mp3, some of them with the same name but different artists.

When I search a song in Finder the results show the name of the song and not the name of the file.

For example: I type I will always love you and it shows 2 songs as a result but doesn't show who their singers are.

Or if I type Beatles it shows 100 songs but not the full file name which includes Beatles.

This is really really annoying and a big flaw!!! Do you have some suggestions.... 😟

In the Finder View menu, enable Show Path Bar. When you click on a filename in Finder, the Path Bar will show the path and filename in the bottom of the Finder window.

Certain home folders with embossed icons (e.g. Music) will offer different List category menu item selections, as shown below, than other folders. Here I right-clicked on the Name heading:

User uploaded file

If you want to see the full, scrollable, POSIX path of a selected file in a pop-up window, I have an AppleScript that wll do that too.

Apple has decided to return metadata for certain types of files instead of actual file name.

You could try searching by File Name. I think the default shortcut is cmd-ctrl-shift-F

However, I think all that will do is let you know that the search term was in the File Name, but it will still only show the metadata.
