They do on the individual Apple Store pages. Apparently Apple's metrics show that folks do not always need a Genius visit. The goal (for Apple) is to save money for their shareholders by pointing customers to other less costly options than taking up Genius's time with an unwarranted examination

"The customer is always right" does not apply to technical issues

Personally, I think it is a mistake - folks waiting for their name to be called cannot resist playing with new toys, and may well make a "impulse buy"

Same answer as before (the comment right above yours is most convenient)

You might also consider posting a NEW Discussion and see if anyone here can help you

We need much more information to give you specific help.

If this issue is new, tell us what immediately preceded its onset - add software, upgrade or update? New equipment?

4) Scroll to near bottom of pg & click blue button, “Start Your Repair Request”

5) Select “Repairs & Physical Damage”

6) Select “The topic is not listed”

7) Type “Any”, then select “Continue”

8) Select the bottom box, “Bring in for Repair”

Agreed . It used to be so easy it set an appt. online at Apple with a set time for your local store . Now they make you jump through all these unnecessary hoops just to make an appointment by contacting them first by email or calling first. I do all my research a head of time and if I can't find an answer then I make an appt. I wasted more time than necessary just trying to make an appt. Spoke with tech support and they could not solve it anyway . Please set up the the genius appointments the way it used to be . You go online select a time and you are done .

After 25 years as an Apple user I have to say I am getting very disappointed with their new approaches to some things.

And how would most people know that triangle ? Apple certainly does not make it obvious to get to genius option.

I don't want to answer all their questions, I want to just make an appt. for my device. As I said before you used to be able to go to apple support and click directly to go to genius bar in a straight forward manner and select your times at the Genius bar at your store and that would take 20 secs.
