Is Verizon not part of new cellular service?

You can use a Verizon SIM - iPad - View countries with supported LTE networks - Apple. Verizon is not a participant in the universal Apple SIM program, so you will need to get a Verizon SIM to use from Verizon and install it in the nano-SIM slot on the side (Apple SIM - Apple)

That is why even with the Apple embedded SIM, the iPad Pro includes an accessible SIM slot on the side. Also, if you use the embedded SIM with AT&T, the SIM will lock to AT&T so after that to switch carriers, you’d need to use the side SIM slot (AT&T locks the Apple SIM to their network, not the device itself).

Verizon iPad nano-SIM Card (free)

The problem is as I was told by Verizon, not all the new ipad Pros are built to accept the Verizon Sim card-and this is what apple sent to the verizon IT support. I will not post here anymore, but thought if anyone else had this problem, they might like to know that this is definitely a problem.

Verizon is mistaken. The new iPad Pro, like all iPads, does not come in differing network compatible versions. There is one model, and it fully supports all of the listed LTE cellular data networks (GSM and CDMA based carriers) in that link I already posted. Assuming the SIM itself is not faulty, then Verizon is the issue, not the iPad Pro.

Verizon itself sells the exact same model that Apple sells.

When I look on the Apple online store ordering options, there is no option to include a Verizon SIM card with an iPad Pro and as far as I know, Apple has never offered that as an option with ordering iPad pro models?

Regardless, if you feel this is a warranty issue with your new device, then you need to deal with Apple. Users here on these forums cannot do anything about your pursuit of warranty claims with Apple.

I ordered the ipad pro online at Apple and it was THEY who had the option for me to order the Verizon Sim card right along with the ipad, etc. If Apple knew there was a problem , it was their fault for erroneously sending me the Verizon SIM card and instructing me to put it in the tray and it would work. I was on the phone with Apple Support twice and no one there said anything about this NOT working, so as I see it, it is NOT Verizon's problem, it's APPLE's. I was in touch with Verizon IT Support and they could see the SIM card when I opened the ipad, but under the Cellular Service, the SIM card would not show up, nor would Verizon appear with the list of all the other carriers. But it's water over the dam because it's being returned as I was sold a defective ipad-NOT able to work with Verizon. In all fairness, Apple should have something on their website instructing potential buyers that their new ipad PRO, just introduced, does NOT work with Verizon-even if they include the Verizon Sim card with the order.
