Did you read my post at all?
You posted in Using Mac App Store, what has that got to do with your question?
Is your question about Messages on your iPhone or your Mac?
You got me confused.
Anyway on iPhone: if you switch in
Settings > Messages > Show Contact Photos: ON
and you have photos in your Contacts app, it should work.
Do a test using iPhone:
1. Open Contacts app
2. Assign a photo to a contact. Tap a contact, tap Edit, then tap “add photo.” You can take a photo or add one from the Photos app.
3. Open Messages app
4. Send that contact that has a photo (see number 2)
5. Wait for reply.
What version of the iPhone and iOS are you using? Your profile shows iPhone 7, with iOS 10.3.2. If that is the case, if you go to Settings>Messages, you should see Show Contact Photos. Do you have any Restrictions on? Go to Settings>General>Restrictions to check.
There are 3 more steps in User troubleshooting. They are reset, restore from backup, restore to factory. You test after each step. I'm guessing, but you have photos in at least some of your contacts?
Yes for iMessage.
Settings > Messages > Show Contact Photos: ON
Note: Photos from your contacts must be in Contacts app.
If that doesn't show up does that mean there's no way I can possibly turn them on?
iPhone. I'm so sorry for wasting your time. I wasn't aware this was the Using Mac App Store. Sorry
No like, there is no Show Contact Photo in the settings.
It is in Settings > Messages > Show Contact Photos: ON
Below are the steps:
1. Tap Settings
2. Tap Messages
3. Swipe Show Contact Photos to ON
I don't have any restrictions, and it's still not showing up
What other troubleshooting have you tried? Can you turn the phone off, and then back on again?
Of course. Give me a moment
Still not working. It's fine. I don't need them that bad.
Yes I do. I'll try it. Thanks for the help
You're welcome. If you need more information, come on back. Before attempting the restore processes, make sure that you make a current backup.
