Fitbit to Apple Activity via Health?

I have a Fitbit that I wear to work...I install commercial security alarms so I have my hands in places that could scuff a watch up.

I just got an Apple Watch, which I will wear when I'm not at work.

Since Fitbit goes to Apple Health will that mean the necessary information will go to Apple Activity since Activity goes to Health as well? Or is Health just a place to dump information and therefore will be no swapping of information between Fitbit and Activity via Health?

Hi

The Heath app on your iPhone combines health and fitness data from Apple Watch, iPhone and any other supported data sources. When doing so, it automatically adjusts the reported results to avoid any double-counting of the same type of data for the same period from different sources:

Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

For help concerning use of Fitbit in conjunction with the iOS Health app and/or Apple Watch, including in respect of any supported data syncing features in either direction, I suggest that you consult Fitbit's support resources, visit their help forums and/or contact Fitbit. Links for each are provided here:

Some third party apps offer data syncing features, but note that certain limitations apply. For example:

  • " **Important** Fitbit currently provides access to daily data only. "
  • "Intraday data granularity is not possible at this time due to Fitbit API limitations."
  • Sync Solver for Fitbit on the App Store
