How do I restrict who sees my hotspot

How can I restrict who can view my personal hotspot? I have an unlimited T-Mobile plan with 10gb of tethering per month included. I use my mobile hotspot on my iPhone 7+ with the latest updates all running. How can I RESTRICT who sees my hotspot for work? People are complaining that their phones and laptops are trying to automatically connect to me but my password blocks them every time. It's been raised as a complaint many times by coworkers. How can I restrict who sees it? Can I lock it to only specific Mac addressss? Any suggestions?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.0.3, 32gb

You can't restrict who sees it, but other devices should not try to connect to it unless they intentionally choose it. My hot spot appears in the list of WiFi networks, but nothing ever tries to connect.

One possibility: What is the name of your phone? If it is just the default "iphone" that may be your problem, especially if the people with the problem also have a hotspot named "iphone". Try changing the phone's name in Settings/General/About.

Thanks- I can't change who sees the networks and who can 'try' and connect to my iPhone that's named 'Mark iPhone'. All the computers are locked down in our facility due to network policies, but users can log into hotspots when in he field.

You can not set it up as a 'hidden' network. Tell your coworkers to turn off the option to automagically attempt to connect to whatever random wifi network they happen to see.
