stupid situation, I do not and will not use 2 factor or 2 step authentication, I spend a lot on money on security and don't need them, why is apple blocking outlook access? why has apple reverted to sending notifications to an old email address and not to the registered @me.com address
How can I set outlook mail to once again access me.com mail servers.

Sorry but it is now a requirement to use an app-specific password to access Apple services from 3rd party apps and there is no way to obtain an app-specific password without using either two-factor authentication or two-step verification. See Using app-specific passwords - Apple Support

BIG brother gone mad - perfect firewall and AV protection - I don't want any more security or to have to remember any more passwords - the apple devices in my family number in the dozens - do apple really think they have the right to dictate how they are used and protected - whats next? will we have to ask apple for permission to make a call?
