what is macshiny?

A few weeks ago a little symbol appeared in the top bar of my Mac Pro, I assumed that it was related to Skype because it is the same color and has an "S" in it. By Left clicking on it I got a window with two options; "Open Macshiny", and "send feedback" that's it. What is this and how did I get it?
