What GPU's Are Compatible with The Mid 2010 iMac 27 inch?

Hello!

Can you fellow people tell me all GPU's you are aware of that are compatible with this iMac? And I mean decent GPU's, not very bad ones if possible.

Thanks.

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.5), iMac Mid 2010

Are you talking about eGPU (External GPU) or are you seriously looking to teardown the imac and try to install a new GPU (which i dont recommend)

if its external there really only BizonBox(BIZON – United States | External graphics card (eGPU) for Apple MacBook, Mac Pro, mac mini, iMac. EGP. eGFX USB-C GPU Do…) for now AND its not that stable is what I hear

Remember to see if you i mac is compatible (if it uses thunderbolt 2 or 1)

and about GPUs precisely i believe for mid 2010 build tyuo looking at the nvidia gtx 980 ti or older due to the architecture upgrade with PASCAL (1070 and 1080s etc... ) you're probably looking for the MAXWELL architecture

but please do a lot of research

if your looking to Tear it down look on youtube or IFixit

All iMac GPUs are custom designed boards by Apple around

various graphics chips. As such, they are specifically designed

for each iMac model.

So, the only option you have is to replace what you have with a version

built for that iMac at that time that has better performance. If you purchased

the best GPU available for that iMac at that time, it is the best that you

can do. There are only a few places that carry parts for Macs that old

and could be tough to find.

Probably not what you want to hear, but is a fact of life with an iMac and

most any "all-in-one".
