how to install youtube on my iPod touch as there is an error 'This application requires IOS 9.0 or
later'
if not youtube wich similar app is compatible or how to load IOS 9.0 on this device

Sorry, no. Your iPod is maxed out on the iOS that it can handle. THe only way to get a newer one (and it'd be iOS 10 and eventually 11 in the fall) would be to buy a new iPod 6th gen.
As far as I recall, even the 5th gen iPods max out at iOS 8 or they might get iOS9, I"m afraid it's been a couple of years. But honestly, I wouldn't recommend the 5th gen because it's already maxed out on its iOS upgrades so for the money you'd spend you'd be right back where you are, with a device that can't run every new app update.

You can always access youtube via safari on your iPod and watch it that way.
Or search the app store for you tube apps that are iOS9 compatible.
Thanks for your reply, but my Ipod is on iOS 6.1.6 and up to date, is there a way to migrate to iOS9?
