What version of safari does iOS 10 come with?

I am currently on a job to create a website. Among the various things devices I need to support there is iPads with versions 10 and up. While that is great, I am having trouble finding out what version of safari iOS 10 comes with.

The information at wikipedia seems to only go as far as iOS 4.X.

This stackoverflow post only goes as far as iOS 9.X, on top of it being specific to mobile.

Through the stackoverflow post above, there was a webpage mentione; however, the chart seems to only go as far as iOS 8.X.

I can't see to find any information about safari versions on iOS 10.

So does anyone know what version of safari iOS 10 comes with? Please provide a source/explanation where your information came from.

iOS 10, I don't actually own an iPad.

I'm afraid they don't really give mobile safari versions because you can't upgrade it outside of the iOS....meaning its' bundled with the iOS update and isnt' separate.

Do you know someone with an iPad running iOS10? If so there are sites out there that will tell you what a computer is running, its IP address etc. I"d suggest find and use one of those to get some info.

I don't particularly know anyone. This is troublesome... Though on the bright side, the product i'm building is meant to be used by organizations or companies. Their iOS devices are probably going to be auto-updating every so often during specified hours. Which means I probably don't have to worry too much about the safari version right now since I was told to support the latest versions.

Thanks for the help!

Many companies will update regularly. Major iOS updates come about once a year (in the fall) with incremental bug fixes/tweaks as needed.

Apple has a developer program/Beta program that you could look into. THat would get you access to the beta versions of upcoming iOS updates. APple's work flow is that you make your stuff compatible with their system so if you eventually get to the point where your company has an iPad that you test on then you can have your site proactively compatible instead of playing catchup once the iOS is released.

may or may not be something you get into

Hi. My user agent is apparently "Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; CPU OS 10_3_2 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/603.2.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.0 Mobile/14F89 Safari/602.1" running iOS 10.3.2 (the current release). I think you may find that mobile Safari is just mobile Safari. It's a loose relative of the computer versions. So, if you need to adapt to its specific properties, you'll really need an iPad to test with.

And that is the built-in version, since Safari cannot be updated outside of the operating system.
