I've been using the 23" Apple HD Display with my Macbook Pro for about 6 months with no problems. Then one day it wouldn't turn on. I tired tapping the on/off button repetedly. I've tried it in several power outlets that I know work. Then if I leave it unplugged for a bit, and plug it back it, it will rarely magically work again. But once I turn it off, or my computer goes to sleep, it will also turn off and I can't get the screen to work again. I'd say it works about 5% of the time. I'm not sure if it's the power adapter or what. It's been like this for about a month though. Anyone know?

It's still under warrenty. I don't think it has anything to to with the DVI connector becuase the display wont power up even when it's not connected to anything. It sounds like it must be the power brick. How do I go about sending it into apple? The site isn't very clear. Thanks.
I am using this display with a G5, it will not power up about one in four tries. Mine is out of warranty. Since it connects directly to computer I do not use a power brick. Any suggestions?
Is this the "old style" display with the clear plastic enclosure and the ADC connector? Not that this would make much diff, you still need to determine which component is causing the problem, the display itself or the video card. With the "clear" displays it's even more difficult to isolate since the display gets its power from the ADC port. But how could this still be under warranty? If you are using a newer display (alum. enclosure), there is definitely a power brick involved.
Thanks for the advise. I will try to take the display to an Apple Store.
