Can't recover pics/video using the cloud

I recently backed up my iphone 6 to the cloud. Then a few hours later, I went and bought the 7. I was having issues with 6 and it was time to upgrade. One of the employees helped me to restore everything using the backup but It didn't restore my pics. I know it did do the backup because I checked. What can I do to recover all my pics?
