what is the accuracy percentage of find my iphone

I want to know how accurate is find my iphone. Is there a % of accuracy?

Like anything else in the world, it's not perfect. I used "Find my friends" a while back to locate my wife. It reported a completely illogical (and incorrect location) approximately 75 miles from where I thought that she was. I then used "Find my iPhone" (we have family sharing) and her correct location was identified. I was able to go back and forth and repeat the conditions a half-dozen or so times. Never did figure out why that happened.

She was on the road at the time using the Maps app and she was accessible by the gps birds.

I ask because "Find my Iphone" "from me my friends" and "google maps" all showed my husband left work at 11:15 and traveled to an apartment complex 35 months les away but yet he still a denying ever leaving work. This is also a location he showed being at on may 29. His claims his phone died and was charging which is why I could not get ahold of him (for 2 1/2hrs), it takes at most 15 to recharge and turn back on once plugged in) my calls went straight to voicemail and for awhile he was offline so the apps couldn't track him. Ironically, when he finally called me the apps showed him back at work. Now this could not be inaccurate right?

Could it error by placing someone in a different city/county 35 miles away from where the person actually is?

It could if it is only connected to a WiFi router or an incorrectly programmed cell repeater. If it is connected to GPS satellites it will be about 30 to 50 ft.

So if you Google map came up with the same address and find my friends came up at the same address as find my iPhone then one would believe that it was completely accurate correct
