So I bought a Series 2 Watch off craigslist and dude forgot to sign out of his Apple ID with the Watch. He went to Andriod (told me he would) and now I can't get a hold of him. I know I'm screwed but figured I would ask anyways. I don't know what else todo since Apple won't help. Any suggestions? Wanna help me out there Apple support? 😄

Activation Lock prevents unauthorised use of Apple Watch if it is lost or stolen.
To be able to pair the Apple Watch to your own iPhone, you would need the previous owner (who may not be the seller) to either enter their Apple ID and password on your iPhone or to turn the feature off via https://www.icloud.com/ (by signing in with their Apple ID > Find My iPhone > All Devices, then select the Apple Watch > Erase Apple Watch > Next until erased > click X next to the watch).
If you cannot arrange for the previous owner to do this, then you will not be able to use the watch. There is no way around this security feature.
Apple will not advise you of the previous owner's contact details, nor will Apple pass your details on to them.

Craigslist is almost always a gamble. Goods are inevitably sold 'as is' and as a result that is a defence against a failure to remove IDs etc. Always take a friend with you and meet in a public place. However sympathetic I am, craigslist has to be a No No for Apple products in my view. This is not a natural element of owning Apple products and that is why Apple will not get involved.
I know i know lol. But dude had all the papers and recipts and everything for it. I know it's not stolen or anything. He just forgot. And since he's switched phones and numbers I have no contact. I know Apple has his email associated with the Watch. Like just email him for me and be like yo you just rest it and forgot to deactivate from your Apple ID! Lol how easy would that be for them? Uggghhhh. There goes a nice chunk of money I guess. Thanks for the sympathy 😂
