I can see my fingerprint in the light reflecting off the home button, what is stopping someone from using that to unlock my phone?

Since I can see my fingerprint in the light reflecting off the home button, what is stopping someone from using that to unlock my phone? Or from anyother place my fingerprint is? My dad was telling my since your fingerprint is everywhere it isn't that secure, and of all places to find my fingerprint, it is on the device that checks for it.

It doesn’t scan the oil residue left on your home key. It requires a human finger in contact with the scanner to activate a scan and unlock. As soon as someone else presses their finger to the home key, that’s what the scanner scans - not your residual skin oils.

The scanner is a capacitive touch scanner, not a light or image scanner.

Similarly, there is no way to present any other image of your finger print to the scanner and have it actually scan it as if it was a human finger. The old trick of lifting it off with tape and fooling the scanner is pure Hollywood, not reality.
