Mid 2015 MacBook Pro 15" CPU Temps

Hello, I was wondering what normal cpu temperatures are for the mid 2015 MacBook Pro with iris graphics. The idle temps seem to be normal, around 35c, but the load temps are concerning me. While rendering audio or video, the cpu temps reach the upper 90s. I don't know if this is normal, and fine for the computer, or if it is damaging over time. I am using the intel power gadget for my readings.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), macOS Sierra (10.12.5), 2.2ghz 512 sud

Temperatures will always be a function of the types of applications being used. Resource intensive applications can drive the internal CPU temperatures well into the 90°c+ range. When the temperatures go into the high 90°c range and over 100°c, then they are higher than desirable.

Be aware that there are thermal shut down provisions that will cause the Mac to turn off before it commits hari kari. That said, if you are going to use the Mac often with resource intensive applications, cooling aid provisions would be beneficial.

Ciao.
