Safari scam-pegasus

Got a pop-up on my daughter's iPhone stating that there was Pegasus Spyware on it and a number to call Apple Care for support. The number was 1-844-686-3816. I stupidly called it and was talking to the guy for a few minutes before I realized I only called the number because it I was listed in a pop-up and wasn't really sure if it was really Apple Care. I looked up the number on my other phone and discovered it was a scam. I hung up and cleared my Safari history and cookies.

How can I report this for Apple to follow up on it as these alerts are saying they are with Apple?

I received the same “Pegasus Spyware Alert” on my iPhone, saying I needed to call this 1-887 number

ASAP. A person with a very strong accent answered

the phone immediately and told me that there was

a virus on my phone. I did not believe them so I

asked to speak to their supervisor. (Without trying to

sound racist) the supervisor’s voice has the same very

strong accent.....it was clearly an Indian born English

speaking accent. I asked them where their office

was and they said “Cupertino, CA”, but they had no

idea what stree address their “office” was. I am quite certain that this was NOT a call from Apple. I hung up!
