I went to the app store, ordered "Pages". Got error message: "Must have OSX 10.12 or later". What I have is OSX 10.11.6. "Software Update" responds "No Updates Available". What's up? (I've a MacBook Pro.)

In a User Unfriendly policy, Apple has tied the versions of Pages to each version of MacOS then failed to supply older updates, whilst also making it impossible for people of older Macs to open current version Pages documents.

Update your Mac to MacOS 10.12, or continue to use Pages '09 v4.3 which does open on all versions of MacOS back to Snow Leopard.
