Thanks for the reply. The link you've given will surely tell what model it is, but it does not provide any info on the manufacturing date. As far as I know - the 4th and 5th character of your serial number will do that? Am I correct?

It is possible to have an iPhone 5 newer than 2013.

My iPhone 5 was manufactured 31 October 2016. It's a replacement by Apple from when they were unable to change the battery on my iPhone 5. They gave me the replacement for the cost of a battery change.

No. There were no iPhone 5's manufactured after 2013. If you enter the serial number here: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support it will tell you what model you have.
