Thunderbolt 2 adapter

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 13-inch, early 2015). I've only owned non-apple products before and need an adapter cord for USB and SD cards. What would be the best cable to get? I have tried getting a couple, and accidentally got it thunderbolt 3. Thanks!

Hi,

Neither of the two linked by the other poster has a SD card reader, and the USB hub linked is USB 2, which is very much slower than USB 3. USB 3 is definitely what you want to get. The other one simply changes your one Thunderbolt port into a single USB 3 port. Is there some reason you want to do that? See below:

Your MBP has a built-in SDXC slot. Is there something wrong with that? Do you need more than one? If so, here is a USB 3 card reader: Amazon.com: Transcend USB 3.0 Super Speed Multi-Card Reader for SD/SDHC/SDXC/MS/CF Cards (TS-RDF8K): TRANSCEND: Electron…

Your MBP also has two USB 3 ports. Do you need more than that? If so, all you need is a USB 3 to USB 3 hub. Choose one of the following, or google for "USB 3 hub" and you'll find all kinds of them with multiple USB 3 ports: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-usb-hubs/
