ipad disabled connect to itunes

Hi there, I've not used my Ipad for a while and I've just turned it on and it says ( IPAD DISABLED )

( CONNECT TO ITUNES ). can anyone advise me on what I need to do please??!! plus there is mans voice talking?? strange as I didn't have that before. I have logged in to my iTunes account and plugged it into the computer but I'm not sure how to connect it, thanks in advance x

You don't need to connect to your iTunes account. You need to connect the iPad to your computer with the supplied cable and launch iTunes and then restore the iPad.

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support


You will most likely need to use recovery mode which is described in the last section in the support article.
