I own an iPhone 6. I want to AirDrop some movie clips from my mac to my iPhone. But the airdrop receiving is turned off on my iPhone. Despite making several attempts at trying to turn the AirDrop receiving on, i am unable to turn it on. How can i enable it to receive photos and video clips.

They are both turned on...still the AirDrop switch is unresponsive in the control centre.
Check Restrictions instead and see if Airdrop is enabled. Also check to see how much storage space you have available.

Check that you have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on.
Check your privacy settings in Settings.
I don't see any option for AirDrop within the privacy settings. What shall i check?
