If you are considering, for example, buying a 38mm or 42mm Apple Watch with a Sport Band, then keep in mind that all models of Apple Watch that are supplied with a Sport Band include a component for configuring the band for a S/M (small / medium) fit as well as for a M/L (medium / large) fit.
For example:
