iBackupBot - complicated situation due to beta software

Hello!

I put my self in a bad situation, again.

For some reason I always love to try out iOS beta software, even though they are laggy and weird many times.

Today I got an iPhone 7 Plus from work that will replace my private "old" iPhone 6. I'm a sentimental man and have managed to keep all SMS with data all the way back from my iPhone 3GS. This thanks to iBackupBot and I do not want to stop bringing the old conversations over to my new iPhone 7 Plus. But I ran in to problems...

The iPhone 6 is running iOS 10.3.3 beta (v5) at the moment. The new iPhone 7 Plus is on official 10.3.2. Since it's my work phone I don't want to put in a beta software so upgrading to 10.3.3 while still in beta is not an option.

I though that it wouldn't matter whether if I'm on beta or not when extracting and importing the SMS-data from one backup to another. But it seems to be some problems here. I'm not sure if it's caused by the beta. It might me caused by some other reason. If you have any ideas it would make my day if you could share them with me. I really wan't to get my old SMS and attachments over to my new iPhone.

So, when restoring the modified clean backup of iOS 10.3.2 (with old SMS, drafts and attachments) for the 7 Plus, I get an error message saying the backup is corrupt or that it's not supported by the device getting restored into. I've never run in to this problem before. I tried several lightning cables and all USB-ports in my MBP to exclude this as the source.

Do you guys have any idea of what I can try in order to resolve this issue?

If you are trying to move them using iBackupbot you need to contact them and see if there is an issue between a backup created under the beta you are currently using. If all of your text messages are still on your iPhone you could roll back your iPhone 6 to 10.3.2 and try a backup.

Other than that no one here can help you due to the NDA on beta's that you just violated.
