iOS 10 Bluetooth issues with Infiniti JX35

I am having issues with my i7+ Bluetooth connectivity in my vehicle. My incoming calls have a 10 second delay before the caller can hear me and the call is choppy. It is the same affect for playing music through audio. I have the latest update for my iPhone and the dealership says I have the latest update for my Bluetooth firmware, so I don't know what the problem is; but it's very fresh rating not to be able to use the function in your vehicle. Has anyone figured out how to solve this?

Hi Maine edition,

It looks like when your iPhone 7 Plus is connected via Bluetooth to your Infiniti JX35 stereo, the audio is choppy for calls and music playback.

If both devices are running the latest firmware, try un pairing then re connecting your iPhone. This sometimes correct connection issues between the vehicle and the phone. Use these steps from the following article to help troubleshoot the issue: Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereo

If you're using Bluetooth

  1. Check your car stereo's user manual for how to pair with a Bluetooth device.
  2. On your iOS device, swipe up to open Control Center, then tapUser uploaded filetwice to turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Restart your iOS device.
  4. On your iOS device, unpair your car stereo. On your car's display, unpair your iOS device and any other devices. Restart your car and your iOS device, then pair and connect again.
  5. Update your iOS device.
  6. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
  7. If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.

Thanks for posting your issue with the Apple Support Communities. Let me know if this resolves the problem.

Have a nice day.

Hey Maine,

Thanks for trying those steps. If the issue was not resolved after restoring from an iTunes backup, I would try restoring to the device to factory settings then pairing with your car stereo and test the audio.

Please be sure to creat a current backup of your data before doing the restore: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Let us know if this does the trick.

Take care.

This has been a problem for me ever since the update to ios10. The steps in your initial response work but need to be performed each time the car is turned on which is unnacceptable. I followed the steps on you're last response with no change to the poor connection. I'm now at an infinity dealership and asked them fix this but they have tried and cannot. This is an issue with iOS which effects all Nissan products and is very annoying/disappointing. Please fix it on the next update.
