How to crop a picture but not zoom in?

Hello

I have Googled this question and got nowhere.

I just want the picture to not change aspect, don't have photoshop so making do with Photos or Preview.

Also I'd be happy if I could somehow 'blacken' using some sort of markup tool but I can't see one.

It would be a great help if someone could tell me what I should be doing! Thanks.
