I never want the location bar replaced by Show Reader View; I want it to be a "normal" web-browser interface line showing the current URL.
How do I completely disable "Reader View" in Safari for Mac?

Completely removal of reader view from from the websites that have enabled this feature seems not practical , but you can
Stop using Reader: Click the Reader button 
again or press Esc.
Blind Hacker: Reader View is a hacker’s dream. As everyone knows, you either know you have been hacked or you don’t. I had ‘voice over’ turned on my iPad, and ‘Reader View’ comes on without me hitting the settings icon. There is John Draper - one criminal hacker who has been known to work with other hackers with disabilities like his (eyesight). Reader View is a hackers dream - especially if you are blind - because it reads only relevant material. Apple needs to allow us to disable this in Safari.
I don't know whether this is directly related, but I do want PDFs to render in Safari and not be auto-routed out to Preview.
Thanks for the tip. It works, but only on a site-by-site basis (I think).
So I opened a Radar asking for a Safari Preference to toggle Reader View off in entirety.

What is a "Radar"? Please disregard; I went to Preferences and found the problem and corrected it. Evidently there is no way to delete a comment.
Click on Safari > Preferences > Websites At the bottom right hand corner of the window make sure you have selected "Off" for the "When visiting other websites:"
