Back iPhone to external NAS drive

Hi

I got a Western Digital My Cloud 8TB Mirror NAS Drive. I'm wondering if it's possible to create a full iPhone backup to it rather than my MPB hard drive or iCloud.

I can use WD's MyCloud app to backup photos & video but would like everything else backed up too.

See Relocate iOS device backups for a possible approach. iTunes has a potential to be flaky with NAS storage so you may be better off using an external drive for this purpose.
