What does Apple recommend for cleaning iPod screen and glass screen protector?

I just installed a tempered glass screen protector on an iphone for the first time. I understand that Apple doesn't recommend using alcohol solutions to clean the screen, so I used a 50% vinegar/water solution on a microfiber cloth. However, the wipes the screen protector came with seem to be alcohol-based, so I'm now confused.

1) Is it safe to use a diluted alcohol solution to clean the screen itself?

2) What does Apple recommend to clean a glass screen protector?
