Can I play the new SNES on my Mac?

Hello

I am planning to buy the Nintendo SNES Classic in September...

From what I know it connects to a TV through HDMI... but I don't have a TV.

Will I be able to connect it to my Mac with a USB/HDMI adapter?

It seems possible but never heard of anyone doing it.
