My IMessage screen is locked

below is a screen shot my iPad in the message app. I rebooted several times with no success. Any help will be valued. Thanks.

Force close the Messages app first. Double tap the home button and then swipe up and off the top of the screen on the Messages preview window to close the app. The restart your iPad and try again.


If that doesn't work, force close the app again but force restart your iPad this time. To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
