Hi, as a window user for the last 15 years, I want to learn how to add/remove items in right click context menu. I use close to nothing in the current, and want to add for sure 'rename' in the context menu. Yes, I know about 2 different ways to rename files on a mac, but I want to do it from the RIGHT click context menu? : ) Thanks!

Macjack, thanks for your reply. I saw the same article and while it looks intriguing...There is a big disconnect, which confuses me (possibly anybody else?); Why do the check boxes here do not equal the options printed in the 'Right Click Context Menu' ?
For example, I do not see 'Encode Selected Audio Files' etc. in the context menu. Also, items such as 'Clean Up Selection' on the right does not show up on the left.
I'd be willing to try these changes if I had a bit more confidence I'm not going to mess things up...

Please ignore the ads as those utilities are not necessary or recommended on Mac OS. So-called "cleaners" have borked many Mac systems.
You will only see the right-click items that are appropriate to your situation.
For example, unless you have one or more Audio type files selected, you will not be shown the option to "encode audio files" because that would make no sense.
Thanks Grant, I tried selecting a video (and audio) file and the option to encode video/audio files did not appear.
But, the REAL thing I am missing from the op is that I do not know how to add an option to 'RENAME' in a right click context menu. Note, I do see it when selecting two or more items, but NOT for a SINGLE item. I have fully read

but it falls short of describing HOW he got the command into the mac services or shortcuts menu.
To the best of my knowledge, the items shown in that menu are not user-modifiable.
