iPhone 7 plus home button turning hard

My iPhone 7 plus home button randomly turns hard and doesn't even feel or click like a button when this happens. It's as if it turns completely stiff or something. I only got this phone a week ago. What should I do ?

In fact, the home "button" is not a button at all on the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.

Just bought 2 iPhone 8. Same issue with Home Button. Tried adjusting by the 1,2,3. All the same, no help. Must use Thumb. Frustrating.

Only when your iPhone 7 is off it turn hard.
