I've three external monitors connected to a MacBook Pro Retina.
The problem:
When I click an application on monitor one, the application does not necessarily open on monitor one. It may open in monitor two or three.
The help needed:
How can ensure that if I open an application on a specific monitor (example, monitor one), it will actually open in that particular monitor, and not somewhere else?

Do you have the setting under System Preferences > Mission Control set to "Automatically arrange spaces based on most recent use" and "When switching to a space switch to one with open windows"? Might be the cause of it.

I don't use three external monitors, so I don't know how it's setup, but go to System Preferences > Displays > and see if there's an Arrangement tab where you can drag the monitors and/or menu bars into the order which will do what you want.
