Deleting contact from Favorites - iPhone 6 Plus

How can I get rid of a Favorite on my iPhone? I'm running 10.3.2. "Edit" doesn't seem to have that option. Help please.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.3.2

Open Favorites and slide the contact to the left and then tap Delete.

I don't want to delete the contact. Just stop marking it as a Favorite. If I do as you suggest, will that delete the contact entirely?

No, it just deletes it from Favorites.
