Use mask on text

Hi all,

I'm wondering whether it's possible to let text follow the form of a shape, for example by using masking. I know how to change pictures into a shape (e.g. oval), but what i'd like to do is let text follow the outer form of a shape, in this case a curved arrow. Is that possible in Keynote? I'm using version 7.2. Thanks!

What you are describing is called "text on a path". Wayne has confused this and has described text within a shape.

There is no built in feature specifically for this, but there are two work arounds:

in Keynote, use individual text boxes, each containing a single letter, then position and rotate the text to fit the curve:

Photoshop, plenty explanations online such as this one: text on a path
