Sierra doesn't list this model as supported, worked fine with earlier OS, any suggestions?

We're trying to download JPEGs but the camera doesn't even appear as a device anymore (since we've upped to Sierra)
Downloading what? Raw files? Jpegs? Video? If video, what format?
In general, Camera Support is universal except for Raws. Even at that, if Raw support is not dropped. Have you actually tried download from the camera?
How are you connecting to it? With a cable? Try a different one. Use a card reader...
