Switching from att to verizon

i was told by verizon that i cannot use my iphone 7 plus with verizon.wanted to switch to verizon from att.i moved and there is very limited att service where i am now.

I never remember anyone ever telling me that these phones cannot switch from carrier to carrier.i am so mad! I paid over $1600 for these 2 phones and an ipad and now all i get is sorry...

Someone please tell me this is not so,that apple didn't stick me with these phones,this is ridiculous!

If you purchased an iPhone from AT&T, or purchased an AT&T phone directly from Apple under contract with AT&T, it is not compatible with Verizon's legacy CDMA network.

If it's paid for, and you have fulfilled your contractual obligations, make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store. Some posters here report having their AT&T or T-Mobile phones replaced free of charge when switching to Verizon or Sprint.

No promises, but it's worth a try.

thank you,i got a hold of apple and they just said sorry about your luck..pretty sad,they lock in like this and no one even mentions it.Guess i will have to sell them at a huge loss and back to android,i will never buy another apple product,ever.
