App/iTunes Store billing system lacks of good sense.
Here is the key issue for my drama: in order to access corporate content like e-mail or company's portal I need a two-factor authentication using RSA SecurID app which I cannot download unless I have a valid payment method updated in App Store.
My App Store/iTunes Store account won't accept my credit card as Apple says it has been used for fraude, even though Amazon AWS and PayPal accepts it regularly. It's a pre-paid Mastercard and I'm still using it everywhere, excepts for Apple's service. Decided then to order a new credit card with the bank but the same problem persists with Apple, so I decided to buy a gift card here in Germany, where I live now, but my App Store/iTunes Store country/region is Brazil, where I lived until last year, and to use a gift card bought in Germany I should be on German country/region.
Since nothing was working out, I've decided to change my country/region and was informed that I should cancel my Apple Music subscription (and my Headspace app subscription). There I did, in vain! Although I have no active subscription now, I have none expired either. It will take me 6 days to expire both subscriptions before I can change my App Store/iTunes Store country/region.
Tried to call Apple Support in Germany but I'm not fluent in German (yet) and there wasn't an option to be called in English. Tried to call Apple Support in Brazil but the only option is to receive a call from them and I don't have a
Brazilian number anymore. Wrote them an e-mail but they may respond within 48 hours.
Thanks, Apple. You've disappointed a user of MacBook Pro/AppleTV 4/Apple Watch 2/iPhone SE and subscriber of Apple Music who just wanted to make new purchases. I've spent a total of more than 7 hours in this issue and I will just scream in the shower and wait the next 6 days to see if I will be able to change my country/region.
