No Whatsapp on Apple watch

I have an Apple watch 2 (updated) and I don't see Whatsapp on my list App list at all. Bought mine in the Middle East, while my friend bought his in Europe and Whatsapp is included on his list of apps and not in mine. And he can get notifications and reply, no issues.

This suggestion does not work because again, Whatsapp isn't even on the list to begin with!

WhatsApp Messenger does not currently offer an app for Apple Watch, so it is not presently possible to install the app on your watch. You may wish to contact the developer to suggest that they add this feature:

Although there is no separate app for Apple Watch, it is still possible to send quick replies from your watch using WhatsApp Messenger upon receiving an incoming message notification. To configure your Apple Watch to mirror notification alerts from WhatsApp Messenger:

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Notifications > scroll down to the list of apps > turn on the button next to WhatsApp Messenger.

Note also that how notifications behave depends on the status of your devices and your settings. With Wrist Detection enabled, in order to bring notifications to your attention as soon as possible:

• If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.
• If your iPhone is locked or asleep and your watch is unlocked (regardless of whether the watch screen is asleep or awake) and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.
• If your watch is locked or has Do Not Disturb enabled, notifications will go to your iPhone.

WhatsApp provides limited support for the Apple Watch. However, you should be able to receive WhatsApp notifications and reply to messages. Any issues you have are likely on account of either your watch or your phone. Please keep in mind that we have no way to diagnose issues with the Apple Watch from our end as there is no way to log this information.

• iOS 9.1 or later
