bad repair licenced re-seller

Hello,

I have following issue:

My phone screen was broken and I had to get it fixed immediately as it was not usable. Unfortunately I had to travel to Athens for work and could not go to my local Apple store to get it done there.

So I went to PUBLIC SYNTAGMATOwhich is the closest licenced re-seller who is also claiming to be licenced for repairs.

The repair was done with none genuine parts and the work was done extremely sloppy. Even after bringing the phone back the quality did not improve. Now after a month, the screen is coming off the frame and is cracked through the middle due to unproper fitting of the entire screen assembly. The screen sometimes does not react to touch or takes actions without being touched at all. The fingerprint reader sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

Any recommendations on how to get the money back?

Best,

Philipp

You can confirm that shop was an actual Apple Authourized repair center at Apple - Εύρεση σημείων.

If they are not listed with Apple, they are not an Authorized repair center, no matter what they may have told you or advertised. If you know the parts were not OEM new, and the workmpoorly done, they I doubt they are an Authorized repair center. In that case, you can ask Apple about it, but odds are you’ve voided any further repairs or support from Apple by allowing an unauthorized service center to replace parts on the phone.

If that shop actually is an Apple Authoirzed repair center, then you should take the phone and the shop receipt to an Apple Store and explain what happened to them.
