when i connect my iphone 6 to my pc via the apple usb cable it will not let me sync my phone so i can add music etc. it always says to set up as new or restore from a backup. I'm using all the latest software and correct cable etc. I've checked everything is updated.

Set up as a new device. This won't change any content on it, but will allow iTunes to back it up and let you configure it. If you are using a new computer or your library is missing content then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I've set up the phone and its all working fine however i have not synced it to my pc before and it is the first time i have connected the phone to the pc do i just need to click set up as new phone and what will happen if i do?
